The potential benefits of transitioning to a green economy are extensive. For example, adopting renewable energy would reduce dangerous local air pollution and reduce climate-changing emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases. The transition would require coordinated planning and Treasury support. It would form a major part of a UK industrial strategy creating many jobs spread throughout the UK and aiding the growth of companies operating in UK and international markets. Clive Lewis MP will outline and discuss Labour’s plans to grasp this major opportunity.
