He is a highly regarded as a go-to regulatory lawyer, particularly in relation to medical devices, medicinal and consumer products. He advises on all aspects of product development and launch, including regulatory laws, marketing and advertising laws and codes, as well as navigating complex product liability litigation and recalls. He has vast experience of co-ordinating with partner firms in other jurisdictions, both on a proactive basis ahead of product launch, and a reactive basis when product liability issues arise. He has advised on launch processes for medical devices, wearables, OTC products, PPE, consumer products and other regulated products, and has defended litigation and regulatory investigations in high profile product liability disputes, including breast implants, metal on metal hips, and blood testing devices. Working with other Pinsent Masons colleagues across our network, Michael acts as product counsel for a major international online platform.
