Konstanze Scharring is Director of Policy at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Konstanze leads the industry's engagement with government, political stakeholders and adjacent industries on the political, regulatory and transformative technology agendas for automotive. She is passionate about industry-government collaboration in securing a UK business environment that supports the long-term competitiveness of the UK automotive industry through investment, trade, innovation and development of talent. Previously Konstanze was deputy director of the LowCVP, establishing the UK's multi-stakeholder partnership to accelerate the move towards low carbon vehicles and fuels. She is married with two children and lives in London.
